From selection to installation
01Choose the surface for the setting
Matt offers R10; ultra matt offers R11. The listed DCOF applies to matt and ultra matt only. No equivalent slip classification is asserted here for silky. Confirm the finish, thickness and installation system for wet areas or exterior work.
02Read the variation
V2 indicates moderate shade and texture variation. Fossil detail and tonal movement are part of the collection’s character. Mix pieces from several boxes in a dry layout before installation.
03Prepare the installation
Check shade, calibre and visible condition before fixing. General guidance calls for at least 2 mm joints on rectified pieces and 3 mm on non-rectified pieces, with adhesive applied to both substrate and tile back. Confirm the exact format and local installation requirements.
04Care after grouting
After the grout has cured, remove installation residues with a compatible cleaner, following its instructions and testing a small area first. Routine care should avoid wax build-up and abrasive pads; never use hydrofluoric acid or its compounds.
05Confirm the complete specification
Colour alone does not define the order. Agree on size, finish, thickness and any mosaic or chevron detail with Arta. Collection formats and photographed layouts are not a statement of local stock availability.
